Monday March 31, 2024 Pic of the Day.
Last day of March 2025. This month was mainly about Daisy & her sister Andi, but mostly about Daisy. She passed away at 16 1/2 years old on March 18. Here she is when she was 3 1/2 watching me from behind the balusters on the balustrade I made for the loft in the cedar cabin I lived in at the time. Fitting picture, as I hope she is watching from behind the veil knowing I think of her all the time.

Another picture from March 2009 in the loft of the cedar log cabin I lived in at the time. This time is Cornelius in his spot, beside him is Andi, beside her is Chessie, in the middle is Mumma-Puma who was the mom cat of all 5 kittens, and closest is Elly-May kitten. I still have Elly-May as well as Andi.

Friday March 28, 2024 Pic of the Day.
Andi had to go to the vet today, and the vet was saying that Andi was a cat that was similar to a person in their 80's - she is 16 1/2 right now. Made me think of the time in this picture. Of all the cats in this picture, Andi is the only one left. Very sad for me, but I'm grateful to still have Andi. The big tuxedo is Cornelius, the kitten beside her is Daisy, who passed away March 18, beside her is Andi the tuxedo kitten, in the middle is Leon, and closest to the camera is Chessie.

Here is Daisy with her whole family about 7 weeks after I took them in. Mom cat, Mumma-Puma, is on the chair. Daisy is just behind Elly-May on the far right with her left ear touching the big 5 gallon water jug.

Wednesday March 19, 2024 Pic of the Day.
Yesterday, Daisy passed away at 5:28 in the afternoon while I was holding her. Daisy was the sweetest cat you could imagine. Very innocent and nervous. Prone to hiding most of the time, but when with me, she was gentle and loving. I truly miss her already. I'm grateful for the 16 1/2 years I was privileged to have with her. I took in her mom with 5 kittens in November of 2008 when they were left homeless after a horrific barn fire that killed 8 horses, and Daisy was one of the kittens. Her mom who is named Mumma-Puma managed to get the kittens out safely. Mumma-Puma is gone, and so is Daisy's brother Leon and sister Chessie. I still have her sister Andi and her sister Elly-May. You can see a picture of her when she was a kitten in the March 15 picture, and a picture of her this month on March 10. For me, the passing of one of my cats is the most painful things that can happen.

Monday March 17, 2024 Pic of the Day.
Today is the 15th anniversary I took in Patty. I remember when I first saw her. She was a skinny, about 6 month old kitten chasing bugs in the yard across the road after the neighbour called and said a car stopped and dumped a kitten on the side of the road, and it was on their front lawn. They were in their 80's and couldn't take in a cat, though they liked cats and had many in their time. I went and grabbed her and took her home. At the time, I lived in a very remote forest and marshland area. I named her Patty because it was March 17.

Cornelius 19 years ago. The colour blue keeps coming up lately, or I should say, I keep noticing the colour blue a lot lately. Cornelius looks good with that shade of blue.
