Two of my cats from a while ago. Taken in the Summer of 1991. Cat on lower level is Itty-Bitty, and Teddy on the top. Taken with a Polaroid instant camera, and scanned into a digital picture.

Looking back 20 years. Cornelius with his teddy bear. It had been given to my father when he was in the hospital in the 1990's. After my father died I kept it. When I got Cornelius in 2002, he took it as his own after finding it in the house. He kept it with him for many years, even moving it to different spots to sleep. He did this for 6 years until new kittens in late 2008 tore it up. Cornelius was so happy to have the kittens around, I don't think he missed the teddy bear.

I'm glad I got this picture because Elly-May does this all the time, but whenever I try and take her picture, she goes back down to the floor. This time I already had the camera out and was taking pictures.

Dexter had been with the family for 4 days when this picture was taken. He is on the right side of the picture checking out the stored Christmas tree - you can see him in the box sniffing it. Andi was, and is the matriarch of the family, and is following Dexter around to keep an eye on what he is up to in her home.

Margarita joined the family on February 14, 2014. This picture was taken a few minutes after bringing her home. She was quite worried, but things worked out over time, and she is now a cat that knows she is loved.

13 years ago today I brought home Dexter. This picture is shortly after I brought him home and opened the cat carrier. He was very nervous, but also quite curious. He stuck very closely to me for the first couple of days. Not long after I took this picture, Dexter and I watched a movie together. I don't think he had ever seen a screen with moving images before as he stared at the screen the whole time. The movie we watched was the first Tron movie. In fact, Dexter's nickname of "Tron" came from that.
