Friday September 30, 2022 Pic of the Day.
Another September almost gone. Wow, does time move fast. This photo is from this day 16 years ago. Pictures from this day are some of the most remembered in my mind. At the beach on Aylen Lake Ontario, Canada right beside Algonquin Park. Cornelius was an amazing cat in that you could take him for walks without a leash and he would behave like a responsible adult. He even made friends with a local Australian Sheppard dog, which I frustratingly cannot remember the name of. Anyway, this was taken on a cloudy morning when all was quiet on the lake. Cornelius was found deep in farm country far from water, and Cornelius was taken with the lake and liked to spend long periods of time on the beach and docks watching the lake, minnows and boats with no fear at all. Pictures taken this day bring back such good memories.

Thursday September 29, 2022 Pic of the Day.
This wood cardinal is mounted on the top of the cat tree post. I was at a local farmer's market and one of the farmer's who sold vegetables was selling these and other little wood creations. I asked, and was told it was made by the farmer's senior father. I really liked this creation, and was shocked when I was told it was $5. I bought it right away and put it on the cat tree. Sometimes I come back into my place and find the bird turned, so I know the cats notice it.

This is Fiona sleeping. I took this picture because the light was good for showing her rich, beautiful colouring. Fiona is a very small cat, so today's quote below is quite fitting for this picture.

Friday September 23, 2022 Pic of the Day.
This is Dennis. Dennis is a girl cat that is a feral cat taken care of by a neighbour. Dennis comes around to visit with my cats in the cat pen I've made. She climbes the big tree that the cat pen is under and my cats and her talk to each other. She and my cat Norton meow back and forth quite a bit. Picture taken by PW.

Avensby enjoying me give her attention by taking pictures of her. She got used to me taking pictures when she was a kitten, so there is no negative reaction when the camera is on her.

My little Avensby when she was 2 months old. She is still a very small cat, but here she was miniature. Picture was taken in low light with a very cheap point-and-shoot camera.

Monday September 12, 2022 Pic of the Day.
Another picture from September of 2011. Leon and Fiona. They were the closest of friends. Both found in the same area 3 years apart. When Leon passed away in 2018, Fiona went into a deep depression that she never quite fully recovered from. I became her new best friend, but no matter how I try, I'm no Leon. By the way, Leon was a normal sized cat, Fiona is tiny.

Sunday September 11, 2022 Pic of the Day.
From 11 years ago. Mumma-Puma, the calico cat on the right, her daughter Chessie beside her, and her daughter Elly-May behind the cushion on the left. Chessie and Elly-May are two of the 5 kittens from Mumma-Puma's last litter before I took her in when the barn she lived in burned down. Mumma-Puma & Chessie are gone, but I still have Elly-May, her sister Daisy and her sister Andi with me. The only male kitten from the litter, Leon, has also passed away. You can see Andi and Leon in the picture below from yesterday.

A mother and daughter picture. Mom cat "Mumma-Puma" using her daughter Chessie as a pillow. These two were very close. Both are gone now, and I'm glad I've got the pictures to remind me of moments like this one. Mumma-Puma would have been 9 years old and Chessie would have just turned 5 in this picture from September 2013.
