I was in the yard when a neighbour's dog ran through. I just happened to be taking pictures of the cats, and caught this reaction. I find it interesting that Dexter is looking at me, I would guess to guage my reaction.

Mumma-Puma with two of her five kittens from her last litter in late 2008. The kitten on the left is Daisy, and the one behind Daisy is Elly-May. The other three kittens from this litter look nothing at all like these two.

Margarita's silhouette in the window. This was just an accident of the camera automaticially adjusting for the backlighting outside the window, but when I saw it, I liked it.

I almost didn't recognize Dexter when I fist glanced at this picture. Just doesn't look like him somehow. In the basket on the lower shelf of the home-made cat tree.

Taken 5 years ago to the day. Leon (orange), and Fiona. They were very close. If you compare Fiona in this picture to the one below taken a couple of weeks ago, she really has not aged much at all. She is now 11 1/2 years old, and in this picture from May 2017 she was 6 1/2.

Elly-May on our left and Patty (silver cat) on the right. These two get along pretty well, though neither one of them are socially good with other cats except for Elly-May with her sister Andi and her mom when she was alive.

Monday May 16, 2022 Pic of the Day.
A picture from July of 2000. Taken with my first digital camera which only took 640 X 480 resolution. That was OK then, as my monitor was only 640 X 480. White cat Xxaque (pronounced "Zak") and Felemur (pronounced "Fah-Lee-Mer"). The box of straw was for using in making Raku pottery as I was a full time potter at the time. The cats loved sleeping in the box of straw.

Sunday May 15, 2022 Pic of the Day.
Another picture from 2006. Cornelius with us at Port Stanley Ontario, Canada. Cornelius loved going for car rides in his pen, which if you look closely, you can see in the middle between the driver's and passenger's seat. This picture always makes me laugh. Quite a sight with us using the back of my home-made pickup truck as a sun deck with a cat on the roof under an umbrella.

One of the first 10 pictures I took when I got my new digital camera in January of 2003. It is of Cornelius on the rocking chair he claimed as his. This is one of the very few pictures that clearly shows what I used to call his "wishbone mark". It is the wishbone shaped white fur on his left hip. He did not have a similar mark on his right hip. I don't know the date of this picture other than it is from January 2003, because I had not set up the camera, and it defaulted to a date in 1980, so the Information encoded in the picture says it was taken in 1980.

Andi in the outdoor area I made for the cats sunning herself and snoozing. The cats can come and go from this area to inside any time they want.

I got a box from the grocery store, and the cats loved it. Cats and cardboard boxes. Hard to beleive there was a time in the world when cats didn't have access to cardboard boxes. Avensby here spying on me as I take her picture.

Friday May 06, 2022 Pic of the Day.
Kittens Leon (orange) and sister Andi (tuxedo). Leon died in 2018, but Andi is still with me. I dreamt of Leon last night. I was walking down a sidewalk, I looked to my right, and in a car Leon was riding around with people I didn't know. In the dream I laughed to myself about it, as in the dream, I knew Leon had a habbit of climbing into people's cars and going for rides with them.

Norton can be hard to get pictures of due to his constant moving. However, I caught this picture when he finally settled in for a nap, but just before he drifted off.

Wednesday May 04, 2022 Pic of the Day.
Another Avensby kitten picture from 2016, this time with Mumma-Puma. Mumma-Puma was not keen on the idea of another kitten in the house, but she allowed Avensby to cuddle up with her. Avensby was three months old here.

Tuesday May 03, 2022 Pic of the Day.
Yesterday I showed a picture of Avensby I took the first time I saw her 6 years ago. Here is a picture of her just a few days ago watching birds in the tree outside the window. She sure looks happier now than she did when she first met me. Avensby is a very small cat, and her face is still kittenish for a 6 year old.

Monday May 02, 2022 Pic of the Day.
This is the first time I saw Avensby. The woman holding her is my next door neighbour who owned the house with the shed that Avensby was born in to her feral mom. My neighbour's husband who died around this time, was the one who let feral cats stay in their outbuildings and would feed them. I agreed to take in one of the kittens, and I chose Avensby because she reminded me of my Cornelius (pictured below in yesterday's picture). Interestingly, in both pictures they are being held in a similar format. I got Avensby 2 days later when the kittens escaped from the shed, and I was called on by the neighbour holding Avensby to find the kittens as she can barely walk due to age and a recent falling accident. Avensby and her siblings were about 2 months old, which brings me to why I'm showing this picture today - Avensby's birthday would be around the very end of April to the first few days of May. So, this makes Avensby 6 years old now.

I showed this picture 3 years ago or so, but it is one of my favourite pictures of Cornelius because it captures his true nature so clearly. From 19 years ago.
