Saturday October 31, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Andi in the front window with my Halloween cat that I've had for a few years now.
Taken: October 2020.
Friday October 30, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Avensby heading into the house through the cat door from the sunroom. I think she had enough of me taking her picture. Wow, is my house ever falling apart. I remember when I was a child going to friends houses that looked they were in the condition mine is in now and wondering why they didn't just fix everything. I grew up from the perspective of living in a new house.
Taken: October 2018.
Thursday October 29, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Felemur and his left, rear paw. Because this paw looked like a puppet calling for help, I used to get a good laugh every time he did this.
Taken: January 2003.
Wednesday October 28, 2020 Pic of the Day.
In the basket is Margarita with her trademark look in her eyes, and Elly-May in behind on the chair. Margarita is a very nice cat despite the look in her eyes. I would describe Margarita as a serious personality, but sweet.

Tuesday October 27, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Out of curiosity, I looked back to see what was going on last year at this time. Norton on top, Avensby in the asperagus box.
Taken: October 2019.
Monday October 26, 2020 Pic of the Day.
A Picture from yesterday of Norton sleeping on his back, on my lap.
Taken: October 2020.
Sunday October 25, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Another picture of Andi from January of 2009. This time cuddled up with her brother Leon.
Taken: January 2009.
Saturday October 24, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Andi is 12 now, and I looked for a picture of her when she was young. She was around 4 months old here. Andi is in the October 11, 20 & 21 pictures below. Her mom is the October 16 picture below.
Taken: January 2009.
Friday October 23, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Compare this picture to yesterday's picture. One day apart - this picture was taken yesterday. On the left is Margarita, on the right is Elly-May. The most cats that have come up onto my lap at the same time is 5, but I've never been able to get a picture. As soon as I move my arm to get the camera/phone, they start jumping off. Five cats on my lap at the same time is like an unstable element. The slightest movement causes it to come apart.
Taken: October 2020.
Thursday October 22, 2020 Pic of the Day.
This was taken yesterday after I sat down on my chair to rest. I had been sitting for about 10 minutes when took this picture. Three cats: Fiona on the left, Patty on the right, and Norton with his head pressed into the arm of the chair. This picture is taken in low light, and I didn't want to use the flash, so it looks grainy.
Taken: October 2020.
Wednesday October 21, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Andi trying to snooze in the sleigh on the side of the cat tree I made. As you can see by her ear positioning, Andi is mildly annoyed that I woke her taking pictures.
Taken: July 2020.
Tuesday October 20, 2020 Pic of the Day.
I can't remember what was going on in this picture. Avensby on the left is looking at something intently, and Andi on the right looks....well, I'm not sure what that look is. Bored, annoyed, confused, surprised? Maybe a combination of some or all of those?
Taken: February 2019.
Monday October 19, 2020 Pic of the Day.
This was taken with a very poor quality camera. Avensby kitten with "uncle" Leon. Leon quite liked having a kitten around, and spent more time taking care of her than any of the female cats - which quite surprised me. In fact, the only cats that took care of Avensby in a parental way when she was a kitten were the three males. My female cats avoided her comepletely.
Taken: July 2016.
Sunday October 18, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Some of the cats like to sleep under a light in the winter. Fiona has starting falling asleep.
Taken: March 2019.
Saturday October 17, 2020 Pic of the Day.
These two must somehow be related. I found them at different times, but in the same general area. Fiona (small) and Elly-May (large).
Taken: February 2019.
Friday October 16, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Mumma-Puma cat. She is gone now, but I got her and her 5 kittens when the barn she lived in burned down just before winter. She turned out to be a really wonderful cat. Taken in the sunroom on a beautiful August evening.
Taken: August 2018.
Thursday October 15, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Good picture of Fiona capturing her green eyes.
Taken: August 2018.
Wednesday October 14, 2020 Pic of the Day.
My fuzzy monster Dexter. I like this picture of him. In the sunroom, on a warm August evening.
Taken: August 2019.
Tuesday October 13, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Caught Fiona yawning when I took this picture of her. Notice how her tongue forms a ladle. It is my understanding, this is how cats use their tongue to scoop up liquid when drinking.
Taken: May 2020.
Monday October 12, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Norton has a really nice fur coat. I don't know what type of cat he would be called, but the bilateral symmetry of his markings is near perfect. His is just sitting enjoying some direct sunlight.
Taken: August 2019.
Sunday October 11, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Nice picture of Andi in a basket, on the sleigh, on the side of the cat tree.
Taken: Febrary 2020.
Saturday October 10, 2020 Pic of the Day.
I was away for a few hours the other day, and when I drove up the driveway, this is what I saw when I looked to the window. I got out of the car and took this picture of Norton and Dexter. And yes, I know, the house is falling apart. But, when you have as many cats as I do whose sole mission in life seems to be to destroy everying object in their path, I gave up years ago trying to keep up with the house - inside or out. Now, I just try my best to keep the grass cut and the house clean. I'm older, and it will be up to the next owners of the house to fix it. I did that a few times in my youth, so I will pass on that "learning experience" to the next generation some day.

Friday October 09, 2020 Pic of the Day.
The cats here are showing the proper way to utilize a nice sunny day.
Taken: September 2020.
Thursday October 08, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Looking back 5 years ago. Three of the cats here are now gone, so I'm glad I take these pictures. Triggers memories I would have otherwise lost.
Taken: September 2015.
Wednesday October 07, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Cornelius became an indoor cat after I got him, but we used to spend a lot of time together outside. One thing I discovered by accident, was that Cornelius loved being in a traveling dog pen. This is one day I was working in the yard and put Cornelius in the pen. I put it on a wheelbarrow so that I could move it around easily. The umbrella is for shade - it was a hot August day.
Taken: August 2004.
Tuesday October 06, 2020 Pic of the Day.
For no particular reason, I wanted to see what was happening in October of 2007 when I lived in a log cabin. I found this picture capturing a rare moment when Felmeur (Lynx Point Siamese) would acquiesce to Cornelius' desire to cuddle up. On the couch in the log cabin.
Taken: October 2007.
Monday October 05, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Avensby showing her matching nose and toes on the sleigh on the side of the cat tree.
Taken: November 2018.
Sunday October 04, 2020 Pic of the Day.
These two just don't like each other very much. Patty has just become aware that Dexter is above her, and I think is deciding how to deal with it. Dexter came up and laid down on the stair above Patty as she was sleeping. I saw this, and wanted a picture of the two of them together, but this woke Patty. This is the look on her face when she realized Dexter was there. Within a second or two of this picture, Patty bolted away. Dexter was clearly trying to intimidate Patty by lying on the stair above her and looking down at her, which annoys me as I'm a "big happy family" kind of person when it comes to cats, but Patty makes it worse by hissing at Dexter whenever he is walking by not causing trouble. In other words, both have a part to play in the dance of their dislike for each other. Also, I have a thing about cat pictures that show them in mid thought.
Taken: August 2020.
Saturday October 03, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Dexter is pretending to looking out the window, but as you can see, he is watching me in the reflection. By the way, the window gets dirty from cats on the outside with wet paws, pawing at the window. They see my cats inside, and either want to fight, or try and get in. There are gardens outside the window, and on rainy or wet days, the cats get dirty feet, then make my windows dirty.
Taken: August 2020.
Friday October 02, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Avensby having a sunny snooze while Norton watches reflected sunlight from the aquarium bounce on the wall. This is a trait he never lost - very kitten like approach to life.
Taken: August 2020.
Thursday October 01, 2020 Pic of the Day.
Good time of year for a nice long sleep. Wishing you a great October.
