4 cats in a sunroom

Sunday April 28, 2024 Pic of the Day.

I've spoken about the "Sunroom Gang" many times. These 4 cats would hang out together, and move to another place in unison. At the time, I had 12 cats. Sometimes they would move around the house like a pack of wolves. When Leon (orange tabby) passed away, the Sunroom Gang ceased to be. The other 3 hung around together for a while, but it stopped not long after. As a cat person, the pack of 4 of them traveling around together was a first for me. Cats are capable of complex and varied social systems I've come to learn over the decades.

Today's Quote:
“Spring unlocks the flowers to paint the laughing soil.” - Bishop Reginald Heber

“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron.” - H. L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun, July 26, 1920

Today's Quote:
“The fall of Empire, gentlemen, is a massive thing, however, and not easily fought. It is dictated by a rising bureaucracy, a receding initiative, a freezing of caste, a damming of curiosity—a hundred other factors. It has been going on, as I have said, for centuries, and it is too majestic and massive a movement to stop.” - Isaac Asimov, Foundation

Today's Quote:
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
